Tri County Help Center Resources/Services

At Tri-County Help Center, we are dedicated to helping people overcome domestic violence, sexual assault, and mental illness. Are you feeling unsure, scared, confused, or hopeless? Have you been hurt, or told someone “no” but they won’t listen? Worried about someone in a bad situation? Worried about your own health? Call us. We can help.

Crisis Hotline:  1-800-695-1639

Trained and caring advocates are available 24/7 to provide crisis intervention, safety planning, information about our services, referrals to other community resources, and just to talk when you’re in need.

Peg’s House Emergency Shelter

Peg’s House offers free emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. At Peg’s House, you are supported by trained and caring staff members who are dedicated to helping you and your children in a safe and confidential environment. We are able to provide food, transportation, clothing, and personal care products. We can also provide assistance obtaining housing, safety planning, and crisis intervention, and we can connect you with services such as counseling and court advocacy, as well as other community resources.

 Rape Crisis Advocacy

Rape Crisis Advocates are individuals trained specifically to support and assist survivors of sexual violence. We offer survivors accompaniment while receiving medical treatment and/or legal services, and provide emotional support and crisis intervention at any stage of recovery. Rape Crisis services are free and we are available 24/7 to assist in an emergency.

 Individual Counseling

Counseling is available to both adults and children who are experiencing difficulties due to domestic violence, sexual assault, or mental illness. Counselors are able to provide referrals to other services with Tri-County Help Center, including:

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Counseling Group
  • Parenting Class
  • Case Management/CSP
  • Psychiatric assessment and treatment

 Court Advocacy

Court Advocates help survivors of domestic and sexual violence navigate the legal and court systems by offering information about legal aid and accompaniment to court proceedings. We understand that the legal process can be confusing and overwhelming, and we will walk you through the process and help you to feel supported.

For more information or to access any of our services, please call our office at (740) 695-5441.

If you need something that is not listed on this page, please don't hesitate to call us. We can most likely refer you to an organization within the community who can help.
